William Jerome Tomlinson, Jr. holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (Summa Cum Laude) in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University and a Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University. Currently, William is pursuing a Doctorate Degree in Computer Engineering at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, where he has earned the designation of GEM Draper Lab Fellow.
As a GEM Draper Lab Fellow, the application of William’s Doctoral research is governed by The Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Inc. The benefits of such a program allow William to work alongside industry and academic level professionals on impactful collaborative projects.
William’s primary research interests are centered around developing hardware and software systems for wireless communication, spanning into applications such as Intra-Body Networks, Wearable Devices, Structural Health Monitoring and Distributed Monitoring Systems.
